Escola Nova Apostólica is a small non-profit school in Carcavelos, run by the Associação Escola Nova Apostólica. It celebrated 40 years in September 2025. Today it has a creche (from 5 months), pré-escolar and 1.º ciclo, plus a study centre (Centro de Estudos) for older pupils at nearby state schools.

Teaching follows the Portuguese national curriculum. The monthly fee includes PE and music, English from pré-escolar, and in 1.º ciclo also ICT and philosophy for children.

Good to know for international families

Teaching is in Portuguese. The website does not describe support for children who are new to Portuguese, so ask the school. Monthly fees for 2026/2027 are published (see below), and creche places are covered by the national Creche Feliz scheme.

Monthly fees for 2026/2027 from the school's price page (checked 22 October 2026): €345 for the 3-, 4- and 5-year-old rooms and €355 in 1.º ciclo. The page also says the July fee is paid in advance in three parts (usually September to November). Creche places are covered by Creche Feliz. Ask the school for the full annual total.
