Colégio Senhora da Boa Nova is run by the Centro Paroquial do Estoril, the social centre of the parish of Santo António do Estoril. It is a non-profit social institution (IPSS). On one site in Galiza, Estoril, it has a creche and pré-escolar, and a colégio from 1.º to 9.º ano.
The colégio follows the Portuguese national curriculum. After school there is a long list of clubs, including karate, gymnastics, piano, guitar, hip-hop, musical theatre, futsal, mini tennis and chess. Scholarships from the Fundação D. Manuel II are mentioned on the website.
Admissions
Pre-registration opens in November and is free. The school says pupils coming from international school systems sit competency tests (testes de aferição de competências) before a place is offered. No open day date is published at the moment.
Good to know for international families
Teaching is in Portuguese. The admission tests for children from international systems are the only support for newcomers the website mentions, so ask the school how it helps children who are still learning Portuguese. Colégio fees for 2026/27 are published (see below). Creche places are free under the national Creche Feliz scheme.
