Lisbon Montessori School is a small, not-for-profit school at Alto do Cobre, just north of Cascais town. It follows the AMI (Association Montessori Internationale) approach, and the main language of instruction is English. Portuguese-speaking assistants and a specialist Portuguese teacher support the children’s Portuguese.

Children can start from about 2 years and 10 months in the Casa (3–6) and carry on through Lower and Upper Elementary until grade 6. Younger Casa children often attend half days at first, with a 10-month school year and a July day camp at extra cost.

Admissions start with a tour, open house or observation morning on dates listed on the school’s “Visit LMS” page. The school does not give individual tours, and first visits are for adults only. Places in Elementary are limited, and English fluency is required from age 4½.

The school says only its Casa level is fully licensed by the Ministry of Education so far. If you need a recognised primary record, ask about the status of the Elementary licence.

The school's 'Enrollment and fees' page has a fee table but does not say which academic year it applies to, so it is not shown here. See https://lisbonmontessori.org/enrollment-and-fees/.
