CAISL is an American international school on a purpose-built campus in Linhó, in the Sintra area, inland from Cascais. It began in a small apartment in 1956 and now brings all its year groups together on one site.
Teaching follows an American approach from Early Childhood through High School. Every graduate earns an American High School Diploma. In the last two years, students can also take the IB Diploma alongside it, and the school says most of them do.
If you’re coming from the US, or you’d like to keep both American and international university options open, CAISL is worth a close look. Ask about the school bus from your area when you visit.
TASIS Portugal is the other American school at Linhó. See how the two compare on fees, buses, admissions and accreditation in CAISL vs TASIS Portugal.
