Aprendizes is a private school in Cascais (Cobre) for ages 3 to 18. It combines two systems. Pre-school and 1.º ciclo follow an enriched Portuguese National Curriculum, mainly in Portuguese with English every day. From 5th grade, students move to the Cambridge International curriculum taught in English, through IGCSE, AS and A Levels or the AICE Diploma.
That makes it a good fit if your child is starting in Portugal young and you want them fully literate in Portuguese first, then moving into an English-medium international track. Applicants from 7th grade take an English test as part of admissions.
Tuition for 2026/27 is published and includes organic meals and many activities. The school says it is currently full, so pre-registration does not guarantee a place.
